Pagelaran kali ini mengangkat khazanah Batik Madura, Bengkulu, Cirebon dan Betawi. Dengan tanpa mengubah warna dominan dari asli dari masing-masing kain, Ramli yang memiliki ciri khas dengan garis lurus, elegan dan feminim berhasil memodifikasi motif di atas bahan yang mayoritas terbuat dari bahan katun, sifon dan sutra, menjadi busana-busana yang indah.

Dari Ramli untuk Indonesia

Kembali, designer kita Ramli mengeluarkan design terbarunya yang terinspirasi dari keindahan kain batik Nusantara. Kali ini corak batik yang dipilih Ramli lebih unik dan tidak hanya mengeksplorasi kekayaan batik Solo, Jogya atau Cirebon. Ramli juga memilih, Kain besurek batik dari Bengkulu, Batik Sampang dari Madura dan Batik Betawi.

Batik basurek motifnya berangkat dari huruf kaligrafi, sekilas kita akan melihtanya seperti tulisan kaligrafi tetapi tanpa arti khusus. Dari Lampung, batik dikombinasikan dengan sulam tapis, dari Madura muncul batik daerah Sampang berbahan sutra dan katun, dan dari Jakarta muncul batik bermotif baru.

”Saya mendapat batik bertema Ciliwung, Cincau, Tangkiwood, Burung Hong, sampai Lereng Ondel-ondel,” kata Ramli yang pergelarannya bekerja sama dengan Dekranasda DKI Jakarta.

Motif batik Betawi tersebut ciptaan Badan Pengelola Lingkungan Industri dan Permukiman (BPLIP) Pulo Gadung, saat ini ada 24 motif. Husaini dari BPLIP mengatakan, motif baru itu inspirasinya dari cerita rakyat (folklore) Betawi.

Motif Cincau, yang namanya menggambarkan minuman berbahan daun cincau, berwarna hijau muda dengan motif seperti pucuk rebung kuning, dipadu kembang asem latar cokelat. Idenya, penjual cincau kerap beristirahat di bawah pohon asam.

Motif Burung Hong, burung bersifat mitologi, menggambarkan pengaruh China, sementara motif Tangkiwood idenya berasal dari perkampungan para artis Betawi yang masih berjaya hingga tahun 1980-an. Motif Ciliwung menggambarkan aliran sungai dengan ganggang dan ikan, sedangkan Lereng Ondel-ondel berasal dari atraksi khas Betawi.

Favoritku adalah kain besurek yang didesign menjadi rok yang anggun, dipadu dengan blus kebaya yang cantik sekali dengan inspirasi busana Melayu Sumatra.
